A nice to read a book about Carlotta and what she experienced with her classmates on her trip to Mallorca. An English title could sound like this: Boarding school on a school trip. But don´t count on it *smile* I am not sure how many books this series will have, but from my point of view, there shouldn´t be much more. Why I say that? Keep reading, and you´ll know *smile* Somehow books for children are mostly wonderful and fun when the kids in those books are of a certain age. The more they grow, the less fun it sometimes is to read.

Story
Every Spanish class does a trip to Mallorca to see and discover all the historical things Spain is famous for. Carlotta´s class is no exception from that tradition. While Carlotta is excited over the moon her boyfriend Jonas isn´t. And when Brendan tries to get between them, trouble is waiting around the corner and Carlotta has to make a decision she doesn´t want to make.
Style
This is a book for children around the age of twelve. Carlotta is a sixteen-year-old teenager almost seventeen and does everything teenagers that age like to do. While reading this wonderful novel I found myself thinking that this should be one of the last books in this series. The main person isn´t a little girl anymore, she sees the world from a different perspective now and life starts to become complicated. Don´t get me wrong here. There is a lot of fun scenes, hilarious dialogues, and beautifully created characters in this book and I enjoyed reading it very much. And still, I had that thought back in my mind. The language is simple, clear, and sometimes very blunt. And makes you laugh out loud when Manu is talking with or over the three girls called Barbie’s.
Characters
Kids grow so fast - the time is literally flying. Same here. While reading this series from book one, I watched Carlotta turn from a little girl into a teenager who has to deal with many things. The divorce of her parents, the new husband, and kids in her mother´s life and that she went to boarding school because she decided to mainly stay with her father. And her father is always traveling and shooting TV documentaries.
Carlotta has to divide her time at home between her father and her mother. Most of the time she stays with him and her passion for photography has turned into the wish to become a professional. She is a wonderful girl and knows exactly what she wants.
Conclusion
This book was fun to read, and I am looking forward to the next book of this series which will come out in fall 2018. This series is perfect for girls who want to read a series about a girl in boarding school from a bit different perspective than all the other boarding school books are written.
