Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. This week the theme is Ten Bookish Characters In My Recent Reads

As usual, my TTT is written literally last minute. Some book characters, no matter if the main figure or not, stand out to me. The list below shows, for whatever reason, mostly characters from German books.

Ten Bookish Characters In My Recent Reads

1 Betty from SOMERSET-SEHNSUCHT UND SKANDAL by Emma Hunter
Betty may not be a beauty on the outside, but she has a heart of gold, and great ideas, and literally jumps into action when her mistress is in need.

2 Tom from SOMERSET-SEHNSUCHT UND SKANDAL by Emma Hunter
Tom is the male protagonist's best friend and literally adds color and flair to the novel. He is Indian, likes to wear colorful suits, and never leaves the house without a walking stick. As a fashion accessory, mind you.

3 Lehabah from CRESCENT CITY-HOUSE OF EARTH AND BLOOD by Sarah J. Maas
This little fire goblin is one of a kind. She is madly in love with Hunt and has a wonderful way to keep all the living things in the basement under control.

4 Flint from CRAVE by Tracy Wolff
Flint is as warm, comforting, and strong as he can be cold, powerful, and dangerous. The moment he´s eating grilled marshmallows with Grace and shows that he is still human was one of the funniest scenes in the book.

5 Kat from FIREFLY CREEK-DAS GLÜCK FINDET DICH by Lilian Kaliner
The way Kat thinks, looks for solutions, and implements them simply and often very spontaneously and in an unusual way is just delicious.

6 Emily from DIE CHRONIKEN VON MISTLE END-DIE JAGD BEGINNT by Benedict Mirow
She is the smartest part of the three friends. Can change from one second to the next from human to whatever animal she wants to be. And her instinct is always on high alert.

7 Marco from THE DRAGON HEART LEGACY-THE BECOMING by Nora Roberts
He is a true friend and protector. And probably the only one who has no fear of giving Keegan a hard time. He would do everything for Breen. And does it often without even knowing.

8 Willow from THE CHRISTMAS PARTY by Karen Swan
She is one of the main figures that truly stand out. The moments where she is as weak as one can be and yet shows a strength which tells you she will fight until the end no matter what. What a woman!

9 Heloise from GRABESSTERN by Anne Mette Hancock
Heloise has her principles and how she sees the world. She wants nothing but the best. But not at all costs. The way how she works with the police is fun to watch but more importantly, it shows the passion she has for her job and the people she cares about.

10 Quinn from VERGISSMEINNICHT by Kerstin Gier
Quinn is a handsome-looking boy with an Asian touch. He knows how girls see him and with the snip of a finger he could have ten at once. To see him interact with Matilda before and after his accident was very entertaining.

Happy reading

    1. Yes, the fifth book, Mistle End, was fun. Some TTT themes are fun to do. Others I avoid *lol*

    1. Some of the books are from German authors and probably only available as German edition so far.
