This will be my fourth year with the Library Love Challenge. I hope that I will be more successful with this challenge in 2022 than I have been in 2021. Unlike many other readers, I haven´t been reading much during the past two years. Sometimes I am still too distracted by the virus and all the changes that come along with it. But I hope that that will change for the better and that I will be able to read and enjoy as many books as I can in 2022. And I am looking forward to finding new books I don´t want to buy but want to read anyway.
I wasn´t sure if I wanted to sign up for this challenge again. Not after a once for me a cozy place where I could spend hours searching for new books turned into a cold, sterile, and distanced place. Every time I go there, my heart is crying because of the new look and design. But I must face reality. Not every book request I place for a new release gets granted. And of course, I would love to buy all the books I want to read. Who wouldn´t? But, let´s face it. It would hurt my wallet. Yes, Germany has a fixed book price but still. My old library card was for free and so was the new one with the chip. And although I sometimes would like to give that new card back, so far, I was able to resist that feeling and keep it. And with it the hope that the new year will be a better library year for me.
The challenge is hosted by Angel´s Guilty Pleasure and Books of My Heart. Again, I am aiming for the Dewey Decimal, who reads a minimum of 12 library books and will see how things go from there.

This is such a great challenge! I'm not doing any challenges this year but I might low key do it just for myself. ^_^
ReplyDeleteMy first intention was to do no challenge in 2022 too. But then I noticed that I would miss something and thought why not do them again *smile*
