With the Weekly Book Wrap-Up, I give you a bit of an insight into all the new books that have arrived at my place. No matter if I won a giveaway, got approved for a reviewer´s copy, an ARC, or just bought one myself. Everything that I add to my shelves, in what way ever and read during the past week or am still reading, I will write about it. And maybe I tell you a bit about the upcoming things on Inkvotary, that is if I don´t forget it and have something to share with you *smile*
I am linking up with Caffeinated Reviewer and Reading Reality and hope you´ll have fun reading it and maybe get the one or the other book inspiration.
Stacking The Shelves #192
I had a book under the Christmas tree.
Christmas Gift
The Christmas Party by Karen Swan
Sunday Post #149
I wasn´t sure at all if I would publish this post. The past few days have been an emotional rollercoaster for me, and I am not sure if writing about a painful Christmas Eve is something interesting for you all. But when I realized that today would be the last Sunday of 2021, I thought I should write this post anyway.
Don´t ask me how I did it, but somehow, I was able to finish up the last preparations for Christmas. So, enough food, drinks, and other stuff for the holidays were at home. I watched a bit TV, read one of the last new releases I need to finish before next Friday and had a very quiet Christmas Eve. Saturday, I watched the Queens Christmas speech. I might not live in England nor am I a UK citizen, but watching her speech is something I really enjoy. And it is totally different from what our current President says or does during his speech to the nation.
Today was another quiet day. I read, watched a bit TV, and enjoyed my Christmas cake. And I noticed that I am glad that Christmas is over. At least for this year.
How was your week? Stay safe and healthy.
Happy reading
I'm kind of glad it's over too, event hough I do enjoy the holiday. It doesn't help with having to constantly worry about Covid. I hope you had a nice Christmas even if it wasn't what we would hope for. and the Queen's message does sound inspiring.
ReplyDeleteUsually I do enjoy the holidays too. This year was quite different and not easy to handle. Well, I hope that my dad will have another Christmas, so that we can be together next year.
DeleteOh, I hear you! Christmas Eve brought tears...but hopefully next year will be better. Christmas Day, my four precious grandbabies visited (with masks in place) and we had a great time. Afterwards, I have to admit, I'm glad Christmas is over.
ReplyDeleteHugs to you. I so love your artsy header and profile picture! Such talent!
I hear you too *smile* Let us all hope that next year Christmas will be back to normal and we can enjoy a family gathering again without any fear.
