During my childhood my boot was filled with some nuts, fruits you mostly get during the wintertime (an orange, a clementine) a bit of chocolate, maybe a set of cards, a little book or whatever I used to have on my Christmas Wishlist. The evening before, on the 5th of December, I had put one of my winter boots outside our front door so that Nikolaus was able to leave some things for me in it overnight. To find the boot filled with all those things was always fun.
Today we have the 6th of December and I have my chocolate Nikolaus standing on my desk. The times where someone filled one of my boots is over and doing it all by myself isn´t half the fun it used to be when I was a kid.
I don´t know if you are celebrating the Nikolaus day but if you do, I wish you a wonderful day and maybe the one or the other sweet thing that comes across your way.
