With the Weekly Book Wrap-Up, I give you a bit of an insight into all the new books that have arrived at my place. No matter if I won a giveaway, got approved for a reviewer´s copy, an ARC, or just bought one myself. Everything that I add to my shelves, in what way ever and read during the past week or am still reading, I will write about it. And maybe I tell you a bit about the upcoming things on Inkvotary, that is if I don´t forget it and have something to share with you *smile*
I am linking up with Caffeinated Reviewer and Reading Reality and hope you´ll have fun reading it and maybe get the one or the other book inspiration.
Stacking The Shelves #183

Sunday Post #140
Last Sunday I visited some blogs, commented on the one or the other review and post in general, and had a very challenging time getting my Sunday Post online. Blogger is giving me a hard time.
Monday afternoon I was busy getting the garden ready for winter. I put some bulbs into the soil. Blue Grape hyacinth, yellow daffodils, red tulips, and a few crocuses. No clue what color they will have. I forgot to write a note on the bag I had put them in a few months back. But my work did the trick. I forgot for a few hours my medical situation and how to deal with it.
I didn´t do much on Tuesday except to get some things at the supermarket. Wednesday was another quiet day.
On Thursday I started my “self-prescribed” gut flora rehabilitation so that the change in diet succeeds even better by taking my first enterobacteria capsule in the morning. One of my doctors had told me years ago, that I should do such a cure twice a year, but I had not done it during the last few years because it is a bit expensive. Last week I thought, it could be worth a try and maybe help me to deal with the damn situation. It is not easy to cut all sugar, honey, etc. out of your nutrition plan when your body wants it because your hormones are in turmoil. It was surprisingly hard to have to wait about thirty minutes before I could eat my breakfast. The next two months will show if it is working.
Thursday was also the day where a severe storm called Ignatz or Hendrik (depending on the area you were in) brought quite some damage to our area and Germany in general. Trees broke, the Hollywood swing in the garden got knocked over and ripped out of its anchoring, and many branches and some roof tiles (thank God, not from our roof) were later found in the grass.
I spent Friday reading my book for the Fraterfest Readathon. From start to finish it is one book I was able to read for the readathon, but I call it a success considering the time I have for reading these days.
Saturday, I spent all day writing some reviews, getting my data for the currently running reading round up to date, and discussing the book we are reading there with all the other participants. I put my Fraterfest read into the list at Caffeinated Reviewer and started writing this post for today.
How was your week? Stay safe and healthy.
Happy reading
Glad your gardening was able to take your mind off things for a while. Sometimes being distracted or otherwise occupied is a good thing! :) Hope all goes well- and sorry to hear about that storm, but glad you weren't too severely affected where you're at.
ReplyDeleteBe well this week :)
We´re all happy here that only some things were damaged. That can be fixed or replaced. Have a good new week, too, Greg.
DeleteI don’t know how any one can deny climate change given recent weather craziness globally. We had two tornadoes in Australia in the last week!
ReplyDeleteI hope your rehab is effective
Wishing you a great reading week
We had two tornadoes a few weeks ago in the North too. It is crazy and you are so right! I don´t get it that some still believe climate change isn´t happening.
