Top Ten Reasons Why I Love Reading


Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. This week the theme is why I love reading.

My reasons don´t fill a top ten list but with seven reasons I think everything about me, and my reading passion is said. So why should I try to invent three more only to fit the ten? Right, doesn´t make any sense.


Reasons Why I Love Reading

1. Books are a wonderful way to travel around the world without moving from the place where I am.

2. I dive into a new world, discover new characters, and see things the real world often can´t provide.

3. It is my way to relax and stop thinking.

4. A great opportunity to find out how others see things.

5. Every author has its very own style although some of them use the same way of telling a story or the same topic. And yes, that can be a bit annoying when you start to realize that the plot isn´t new and has been told repeatedly by other authors.

6. When I read an intriguing summary and start reading and the story can catch my full attention within seconds and lets me forget everything around me, then I call the novel a thrilling adventure and that is what counts.

7. Books are another form of passion. Every author has put his time, energy, love, and fantasy into his or her writing, and to discover that is for me either entertaining fun or boring as hell. But always an adventurous journey.

    Yes! There's nothing like having the world fall away while you're totally absorbed in a great story.

    I love your reasons. Relaxing is a big one for me too as is traveling from my reading chair. :)
