is a weekly event that was originally hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. This meme is a place that spotlights upcoming releases that we´re eagerly anticipating with pure joy. There are a lot of new books coming out each year and some of them catch my attention and will get a spotlight in my Waiting on Wednesday post. While some of them will finally end up here at my place, others won´t. I am joining Tressa at Wishful Endings and her meme Can´t-Wait Wednesday.
I love the author for his sensitive style and use of words. How he lets you dive into a beautiful story about love, friendship, loyalty, and family. And yes, behind the female name is a man, Wade Rouse, who writes like no other about emotions, conflicts, and the past of his figures. And this new one sounds very promising. It doesn´t promise that there will be a happy end, but it promises that it will be a great story about life, love, and loss.

Elizabeth, Veronica, Rachel, and Emily met at Camp Birchwood as girls in 1985, where over four summers they were the Clover Girls – inseparable for those magical few weeks of freedom – until the last summer that pulled them apart. Now approaching middle age, the women are facing challenges they never imagined as teens, struggles with their marriage, their children, their careers, and wondering who it is they see when they look in the mirror. Then Liz, V, and Rachel each receive a letter from Emily with devastating news. She implores the girls who were once her best friends to reunite at Camp Birchwood one last time, to spend a week together revisiting the dreams they´d put aside and repair the relationship they´d allowed to sour. But the women are not the same idealistic, confident girls who once ruled Camp Birchwood, and perhaps some friendships aren´t meant to last forever …
