With the Weekly Book Wrap-Up, I give you a bit of an insight into all the new books that have arrived at my place. No matter if I won a giveaway, got approved for a reviewer´s copy, an ARC, or just bought one myself. Everything that I add to my shelves, in what way ever and read during the past week or am still reading, I will write about it.  And maybe I tell you a bit about the upcoming things on Inkvotary, that is if I don´t forget it and have something to share with you *smile*

I am linking up with Tynga´s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer and hope you´ll have fun reading it and maybe get the one or the other book inspiration.

Stacking The Shelves #134

Sorry, no new books here.

Sunday Post #91

On Monday I finally got my flu shot. I had to wait for almost an hour to get the shot which was then done within seconds *lol* After that I went to get some groceries and when I was back home I was so exhausted that I went to bed early. The next two days I was completely knocked out.

But despite being knocked out, I watched the Harris/ Pence debate. I hadn´t planned on doing it but was up and somehow not able to find any sleep so why not watch it? And I am glad I did. I don´t want to get too political here, but I have to say, that if I could vote, I would vote blue. I absolutely enjoyed the moment when Harris told Pence that she was speaking – that was brilliant.

On Thursday I was up for the first time again and went outside to get some garden work done. I prepared the whole I needed for the peony, cut out a huge root, and around midday, I was finally able to start digging out the peony in the front yard. After four hours, some water, my hands, and a spade, I had the peony out and was able to fill the giant hole she had left with the soil again. Now, the front garden looks ready for fall and winter. The peony is planted in her new spot and I hope that she will bloom in two years. It was a satisfying feeling, and it was fun to do some garden work together with my lady neighbor.

The rest of the day I was in the backyard and my lady neighbor gave me company. She was alone at home and needed something to do and decided to help me. We had a wonderful afternoon together and chatted about this and that while getting more weeds and ivy out. And I got my own garden sticks *yay*! She made them for me, and I thought I take some pictures before I put them into the garden. My lady neighbor has a very unique way with colors and design.

To be honest with you, I was absolutely knocked out the next day and did nothing but being lazy. The rest of the week I did some blogging stuff, read, and fished two books and started another one. I visited some blogs, answered some comments, and edited some pictures for my blog and social media. Other than that, I felt tired and totally out of control. If the entire fall and winter will go like this, then I definitely need to find a way to change that. My household looks like a mess, and I don´t feel good about it. That is simply not me!

Yesterday, Saturday, I signed up for the Fraterfest Readathon 2020 over at Kimberley´s Caffeinated Reviewer blog. Not sure how this will work this year, but I need something fun and hope that it will do the trick for me. The sign-up post was the only thing I managed to get done on Saturday. The rest of the day I was in a weird mood again and couldn´t get myself up to do all the things I had on my list. I am not happy with the situation and don´t feel good about it. I don´t know if it is because of the warm days and cold nights we are experiencing for a few days or something entirely different but one thing I know is for sure: I. Don´t. Like. It …

How was your week? Stay safe and healthy.

Happy reading

  1. Isn't it awful when exhaustion hits like that? I'm glad you were able to get some rest though, and also it sounds like you made some great progress with your garden and yard as well. That's awesome! Hope you are having a nice weekend...

  6. Fraterfest is going to be fun! I'm looking forward to it a lot. Although, I don't do scary so I'm going with a paranormal mystery series... Or some UF.

Flu shots are taking forever to book here at the moment. I dont usually get one but the advise is to do so this year (I guess to remove the risk of contracting Flu and Covid and really breaking yourself...)
Sorry to hear you've been so tired! I've been completely out of sorts and not myself too lately. (I'm blaming covid. It's all covid's fault.)

Here's hoping this week is a better one!

    1. I had to reschedule it three times due to some other stuff I had to do first. Doctors advise you to get it here too. Not only because of Corona. I got mine because my parents are in the high risk group and I want to do everything I can to keep them safe. Thank you for your visit.

  7. I think there are just so many things making 2020 exhausting. I voted blue! I hope we get some changes as the handling of COVID as well as other things has been horrible. All that yard work is making you exhausted too. I know it is for me. A rainy weekend is a nice change of pace. Have a great week!
