With the Weekly Book Wrap-Up, I give you a bit of an insight into all the new books that have arrived at my place. No matter if I won a giveaway, got approved for a reviewer´s copy, an ARC, or just bought one myself. Everything that I add to my shelves, in what way ever and read during the past week or am still reading, I will write about it.  And maybe I tell you a bit about the upcoming things on Inkvotary, that is if I don´t forget it and have something to share with you *smile*

I am linking up with Tynga´s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer and hope you´ll have fun reading it and maybe get the one or the other book inspiration.

Stacking The Shelves #121

I received a review copy from Fischer Krüger. Thank you very much.

Sunday Post #78

During the past days, I was able to make further progress with the editing of my older posts and wrote some new reviews and other content for my blog. I had planned on posting something on Thursday and Friday but didn´t. I was busy editing my older posts and get some errands done. Despite that, my week was uneventful. Not sure if I should say thank god or not for that.

On Monday I was at my library to bring back some books and after that, I decided that this was probably my last visit for a long time. Or until they turn on their air condition or Corona is history. A very warm room with a mask in your face is like going into a shower with too warm water running. No fun.

Tuesday, I started using the free Corona-Warn-App the Robert-Koch-Institute and the health ministry has developed and asked us all to download on an optional basis. The app will trace back a chain of infection, if we all provide the necessary data for it, via Bluetooth. This morning I read in the news that so far over 10 million people have downloaded the app already. I can only hope that the app will not only be a helpful one but also worth the money its development has cost. On the other hand, it is an unpleasant feeling to check your cellphone while outside not knowing if the app tells you you´re in the clear or that you´ve been at risk. Know what I mean?

But now to something more pleasant. I want to thank you all for your opinion of my first image question last Sunday. It was good to read all your opinions about it and to see that I am not the only one who likes to handle things the easy way if possible. Honestly, you all HELPED ME A LOT!

Saturday the beginning of summer was marked in the calendar. The weather shows a mix of clouds and blue sky. The rain we´ve got told would come only happened in other areas of the country. The rest had some clouds and very warm air. A few raindrops here and there yes, but nothing major.

How was your week?

Happy reading & Stay safe and healthy.

  1. I love the idea of Corona-Warn-App. We have a UAE version of such an app and I heard it is very useful. I have been editing old posts on my blog too.

    1. I need to edit my old blog posts because I changed my template a while ago and now they look awful. I hope that the app will be a help in our Corona fight.

  2. Wow, editing your old posts! That sounds like something I'd like to go back and do from my very first years of blogging. That book has a very pretty cover! Hope you enjoy it!

    1. I had to install a new template design a while ago and with that came the editing of all my older posts who were published before that.

    1. I think when you take care of your older posts you show others that you care about your blog and its content. And that you want to be as secure and good looking with your blog work as possible.

  5. The app sounds really interesting. We just stay home. I get lots from my library digitally. I am worried that all the opening without any precautions or masks is not going to go well. Take care and stay well!

    1. Precaution and masks are necessary and essential during these unprecedented times. Unfortunately, not all of us see it that way. Stay safe and happy reading!

  6. I hear you, I try avoiding some places too because of the heat- and the masks don't help! It's too bad we can't have some kind of high tech self air conditioned masks lol. Isn't this 2020, when do we get the high tech stuff? :) That app sounds interesting though! In my experienc here we don't really have anything like that yet, or at least that I'm aware of. I feel like we're so behind here in many ways... although yes I also agree it would be scary to check it!

Hope your start to summer is turning out nice- we've had nice weather here as well.

I love the Paige Toon covers!

  7. That corona app sounds pretty interesting. I can see what you mean though. Checking it to see if I have been at risk would probably stress me out.
