With the Weekly Book Wrap-Up, I give you a bit of an insight into all the new books that have arrived at my place. No matter if I won a giveaway, got approved for a reviewer´s copy, an ARC or just bought one myself. Everything that I add to my shelves, in what way ever and read during the past week or am still reading, I will write about it. And maybe I tell you a bit about the upcoming things on Inkvotary, that is if I don´t forget it and have something to share with you *smile*
I am linking up with Tynga´s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer and hope you´ll have fun reading it and maybe get the one or the other book inspiration.

Sunday Post #75
This weekend is Whitsuntide or if you rather call it Pentecost and with that, we say goodbye to May. Another month is over and at the beginning of June, we will see some further changes in the Corona restrictions. All week long I was looking forward to the long weekend and planned my trips to the grocery store. We are still asked to avoid doing our grocery shopping last minute, but as you can tell, people don´t think about that anymore. And I feel so stupid that I still obey the rules and try to plan as well as I can in advance.
I managed to write some reviews, to read a bit, and kept going with the editing of my old posts. It is a good feeling to see that I am making progress on that front. The rest that is currently my life is rather frustrating than good.
Because of the sunny but windy weather, I was out for some walks and enjoying nature around my place. On Thursday I was so restless that I went into town to get some errands done and went to the library too. The rules for a library visit have changed again and aren´t that strict anymore. I thought it could be fun looking for some new books. Sure, we still must disinfect our hands when we enter the building, but that has become a new normal with all the other shops requiring that too. But going to the library isn´t the same anymore. The atmosphere has changed and it just doesn´t feel the same. I was asking for a certain book and got the information that they couldn´t order any new books due to Corona. As long as nobody knows how much money will come in through the occupational tax, everything´s put on hold. New books that came out during the past weeks included. Ugh.
The rest of the week was a mixture of being outside, talking with some of my neighbors, and cleaning and preparing for the long weekend.
How was your week? Stay safe and healthy.
Happy reading

We are also slowly opening things up. The grocery stores still have a line to get in but some of the other stores you can go in get what you need and leave. They don't want you to hang around too much. Our library is still closed for now. I really can't wait for everything to go back to normal and a vaccine is made.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have an awesome week, Vi! Happy Reading!
Guess we all are waiting for a working vaccine and I hope it will be available soon. Thank you for stopping by. Stay safe and well.
DeleteHappy Whitsuntide! Hope you are well this week. I hear you on feeling stupid- it is weird around here too when you try to plan and follow the rules and then so many people are just doing whatever- no masks, no social distancing, whatever.
ReplyDeleteIt is nice to be outside, isn't it? I am really enjoying the little things now!
Oh yes, enjoying the little things is what keeps me sane these days *smile*. I cannot understand why some people don´t wear a mask when it it obvious that it can be helpful.
DeleteNobody around here is obeying the virus rules either. Pretty much everything is open, and nobody except me wears masks. It’s frustrating. I don’t know why people won’t even TRY to do the right thing. I hope you have a good week!
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
I am curious how things will be when they lift the last of our restrictions. The news tell us already that our number of infected people is going up again because some stupid people were having a party without keeping the social distancing.
DeleteYeah, the cleaning your hands everywhere is literally the new "normal".
ReplyDeleteKids in my classroom have to clean their hands every time they go into the classroom and I notice myself doing it all the time as well.
I'm happy about things opening back up, though! Have a great month with good books and loads of sun!
I am glad too, that things start to reopen again. But I wish some people would be more cautious.
DeleteIt's the same here Vi and I too am one of the few still abiding by the rules!
ReplyDeleteGlad to know that I am not the only one who feels and acts that way.
DeleteIt sounds like a pretty good week. They are starting to open things, but I'm not doing it. We are staying home. I'm working on the yard this week because the weather is supposed to be dry where it rained most of last week.
ReplyDeleteStay safe and well!
Anne - Books of My Heart Here is my Sunday Post
I don´t go out much and bars and clubs were never my thing. But the library, bank, and some other stores were part of my daily routine before Corona. Happy reading to you Anne and stay safe and well.
DeleteOur libraries reopen today, with a few restrictions. Returned books won’t be reshelved for three days and the lounge area is closed..the only seating available will be spaced and plastic so it can easily be wiped down between use. I don’t know about new book ordering but I assume it’s on hold for practical reasons.
ReplyDeleteYay for any and all progress!
Wishing you a great reading week
You are right: yay for any and all progress!
DeleteThe libraries have reopened here recently, but I haven't gone either. I have tons of stuff on my Kindle though, so it's time to start on those!
ReplyDeleteHihi, guess we all have tons of stuff on our shelves - no matter if Kindle or other shelves *smile* It is really sad that books don´t bring reading time with them when we buy ´em.
