With the Weekly Book Wrap-Up, I give you a bit of an insight into all the new books that have arrived at my place. No matter if I won a giveaway, got approved for a reviewer´s copy, an ARC, or just bought one myself. Everything that I add to my shelves, in what way ever and read during the past week or am still reading, I will write about it. And maybe I tell you a bit about the upcoming things on Inkvotary, that is if I don´t forget it and have something to share with you *smile*
I am linking up with Tynga´s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer and hope you´ll have fun reading it and maybe get the one or the other book inspiration.
Stacking The Shelves #98
My advents book win plus the swag (a beautiful amulet with fragrance) arrived on Saturday. You might remember that I wrote about it in my last Weekly Book Wrap-Up. It came with a beautiful card and no, the four-leafed-clover including the cup it stands in was not part of the win. I bought that at the end of last year to have something nice for New Year´s Eve. I apologize for the poor quality of the pictures. While I was taking them, I didn´t realize that my hands were a bit shaky. For my international followers, the title of the book could be translated into English “The Limit Of The Sky”. The author, Stephan Kinkele, is completely new to me and worked for decades as an Ethnologist and tour guide. He apparently writes mainly novels with an unusual historical background.
Sunday Post #55
It is the first long weekend of 2020. On Monday we celebrate Epiphany (the three Magi). I am not a religious person and with no Christmas tree this time, I only see the pictures I remember from my childhood where we had a crib underneath our Christmas tree. I have no idea where that crib is now or if it still exists, but the pictures remain. So usually our Christmas tree stands until the day after Epiphany in all its glory. Well, not this time.
As always, right after the new year has started, I feel a bit out of place. As if my body and brain are still in 2019 but I know that we are already in 2020. I organized some things blog related, felt a bit overwhelmed with what to blog when and how and am still cleaning and sorting out things. I know that at some point in Spring I will have to paint some walls and ceilings because you can see it clearly where the mason has done his work right before Christmas *lol* Guess, 2020 will be a year of renovation for me. Inside and outside. Nothing I am worried about. I do what I can one step at a time, but the moment when you start seeing something through the eyes of another person is … well … a weird moment. At least that´s how it felt for me.
I´ve got some new ideas I want to realize over the next few months. Concerning my blog, some posts, and around my apartment. What a broken wall can do to your mind is unbelievable *smile*
And I am still thinking about which “Backlist” challenge I will do in 2020. No decision made so far.
How was your week?
Happy reading

As you said, it will only take one step at a time to get your renovations done. Have a great week, Vi:)
ReplyDeleteWell, we all can only go the way our budget allows it, right? *smile* Hope you are having a great week yourself. Thank you for stopping by.
DeleteGood luck with your new ideas Vi!
ReplyDeleteThank you. I hope I can make them become reality the way I have them in mind. And thank you for stopping by.
DeleteThe transition from one year to the next always feels a bit awkward in some ways, doesn't it? And yet it really isn't much of a transition in reality--it's just something we do to ourselves by making it seem that way. Congratulations on your advents win. What a beautiful amulet! I hope you have a Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteThank you. Guess I am simply missing some sun and Vitamin D *smile* Thank you for your visit.
DeleteWell I wish you a beautiful start to this new year! I have worked hard to get things into shape in the new house and it is getting close. We actually tried to hook up the tv this week! No, we don't watch much tv. But other things are getting into place, slowly.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely week and enjoy some good books!
Anne - Books of My Heart Here is my Sunday Post
I want new color in my home but without having to paint *lol* Is that normal? Well, we´ll see if I can take the time in Spring to get done what I want to change. My TV stands on top of a small dresser. Thanks for stopping by.

DeleteHappy New Year! And good luck with whatever house-related activities you need to tackle after the broken wall!
ReplyDeleteI've been trying to work out what I want to achieve this year too and how to achieve it... New Years are always funny things.
Oh yes they are. But with that beautiful new wall in my house I see now all the flaws some of the other walls are having *lol*
