is a weekly event that was originally hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. This meme is a place that spotlights upcoming releases that we´re eagerly anticipating with pure joy.
There are a lot of new books coming out each year and some of them catch my attention and will get a spotlight in my Waiting on Wednesday post. While some of them will finally end up here at my place, others won´t. I am joining Tressa at Wishful Endings and her meme Can´t-Wait Wednesday.
A few days ago, I saw the cover reveal for this one, and though I wasn´t happy with it, at first sight. Then I found myself thinking that it doesn´t look too bad. Sure, the cover style is different from the other books I own from Sarah J. Maas, but that is also quite normal. And I guess that I will start loving it the more I look at it. But if you´re asking me WHY I want this new novel, I can´t come up with an appropriate answer. Yes, I like her work, but on the other hand, I haven´t read some of the novels she´s published since her Throne of Glass series has come to an end. But this one sounds kind of interesting and while reading one of her ACOTAR novels, I am getting literally curious and want to know what this new release of her will be about.
I love the author´s fantasy, how she describes things and creates those worlds her characters live in. So, yes, I am very curious how this one will be. If it can live up to my expectations or one of her fans around the world.

Half-Fae, half-human Bryce Quinlan loves her life. By day, she works for an antiquities dealer, selling barely legal magical artifacts, and by night, she parties with her friends, savoring every pleasure Lunathion - otherwise known as Crescent City – has to offer. But it all comes crumbling down when a ruthless murder shakes the very foundations of the city – and Bryce´s world. Two years later, her job has become a dead end, and she now seeks only blissful oblivion in the city´s most notorious nightclubs. But when the murderer attacks again, Bryce finds herself dragged into the investigation and paired with an infamous Fallen angel whose own brutal past haunts his every step. Hunt Athalar, personal assassin for the Archangels, wants nothing to do with Bryce Quinlan, despite being ordered to protect her. She stands for everything he once rebelled against and seems more interested in partying than solving the murder, no matter how close to home it might hit. But Hunt soon realizes there´s far more to Bryce than meets the eye – and that he´s going to have to find a way to work with her if they want to solve this case. As Bryce and Hunt race to untangle the mystery, they have no way of knowing the threads they tug ripple through the underbelly of the city, across warring continents, and down to the darkest levels of Hel, where things that have been sleeping for millennia are beginning to stir …
