With the Weekly Book Wrap-Up, I give you a bit of an insight into all the new books that have arrived at my place. No matter if I won a giveaway, got approved for a reviewer´s copy, an ARC, or just bought one myself. Everything that I add to my shelves, in what way ever and read during the past week or am still reading, I will write about it. And maybe I tell you a bit about the upcoming things on Inkvotary, that is if I don´t forget it and have something to share with you *smile*
I am linking up with Tynga´s Reviews / Reading Reality and Caffeinated Reviewer and hope you´ll have fun reading it and maybe get the one or the other book inspiration.
Stacking The Shelves #68
I pre-ordered The Queen Of Nothing by Holly Black, but despite that, I have not bought any other book or had one in the mail. Showing it anyway.
But I´ve got a beautiful bookmark today, which I´ve won on the author´s Facebook page. Britta Sabbag is a German author, who is very famous for the book "The little bumblebee Bommel" (translation of the German title) which she wrote together with Maite Kelly. Yap, the one from the famous Irish family. The bookmark and card shown in the two pictures below are from her newest book Blackwood-Letters to me. Thought I translate you the title, because it is a German new release this year.
Sunday Post #25
Spring has sprung, finally, and I took some pictures while walking around. Personally, I see some transformation happening, physically and emotionally. It seems that I am way less productive than I used to be and to be honest, I don´t like it at all. My listlessness has gotten worse and it has become very clear that I have to do some major changes. My attempt to wean my body and brain – the most difficult thing to do – from old habits = eating sweet stuff and having sugar in almost every food I am eating, has failed miserably. Good, I don´t eat convenience-food anymore, unless I can cook it myself, but besides that? I feel bad about it because I KNOW that it is a good thing to stay away from the white poison, sugar undoubtedly is. But living it is something completely different.
Well, I am not giving up on that goal. Not after I´ve seen myself in broad daylight in the mirror of a shop-window. Holy heck! That was awful!!
I Am Reading
My biggest weakness is soda. I am way addicted! So I feel your pain there re: sugar! And ooh that Holly Black series is on my list to try soon...
ReplyDeleteOh yes, soda. It is a bit expensive here in Germany, so I´m not tempted to buy it. Water is much cheaper, the heck knows why, so I am drinking that. But chocolate is something else.... Gosh, I need to get The Wicked King done, before the other gets published *lol* Thanks for stopping by, Greg.
DeleteI hope you enjoy your newest additions! Happy reading!

Hopefully I will. Thank you for your visit.
DeleteSpring means open windows and yesterday we go to have all the windows open and I tend to be more productive that way. I can't wait for spring to finally settle here in NJ, USA.
ReplyDeleteI avoid all mirrors and windows lol, I also need to get better at taking care of myself and what I put into my body. My portion size needs to be adjust a lot. I also need to get back into cooking every night and not order off from local places.
I hope this week is awesome for you, Vi! Happy Reading! :)
For me it becomes more and more a medical issue with the sugar. We have some illnesses in the family which I don´t have, but could get, and those can be prevented by living a healthy lifestyle without the white poison. I did not know how many names sugar has! Thank you for stopping by.
DeleteI’m addicted to sugar, too. I love chocolate and want it all the time, even though I know it’s bad for me. Enjoy your new books. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
Once a month, I could bath in sugar, that is for sure! Oh well ... Thanks for your visit.
DeleteWhat lovely bookmarks, I admit I tend to lose mine almost as soon as I get it.
ReplyDeleteHave a great reading week and please stop by:)
Shelleyrae @ Book’d Out
I keep all the special ones, mostly those you cannot buy in a store, in an old shoebox. The others I use while reading, are mostly from a bookstore in the city where they are for free and I take one or two (depends on the motive) while there shopping *smile* Thank you for stopping by.
DeleteI thinking cutting back is good, I can't imagine giving it all up completely. Ugh. Balance is hard when there are tasty things to eat or drink. Even a good pint has sugars. Best of luck.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Yes, it is not easy. I don´t drink pint, so no problem there *smile* But you are right. Well, will see how it goes. Thank you for your visit.
DeleteGood luck! We are cutting back on sugar also. It's a process.
ReplyDeleteAnne - Books of My Heart Here is my Sunday Post
Oh yes, it is a process. And I am so impatient *sigh* Thank you for stopping by.
