Stacking The Shelves is hosted by Tynga´s Reviews and is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical stores or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts, and of course ebooks! I am also connecting with Bought Borrowed & Bagged in homage of Barron´s Books & Baubles from Karen Marie Moning´s smash hit series, Fever, hosted by Braine at Talk Supe.
The past week was a decent one when it comes to me & buying books. Only three, but the third I got for such a low price that I can´t really count it. I finally got the hardcover edition of Red Queen. I already read the German edition of it and recently the second book as German edition as well, but since I know how the original cover looks I wanted it. And now I got it *happy dance*. A few days ago I couldn´t resist and bought the hardcover edition of A Torch Against The Night. Okay, I like the German cover better, but I want to know how this story continues and since none of my applications for becoming a participant in the reading challenge for that particular book was crowned with success, I finally thought what the heck and bought it.
I show you below with the last six covers the original book (left) and the German edition (right).

ReplyDeleteThanks a lot for stopping by. I am actually not sure which cover of The Secret Fire books I like more, the original one or the other :-)
DeleteI like the one on the left. :)
DeleteI still can´t decide *laugh*
DeleteI don't think I've seen the German cover of TORCH! I like the USA one, though I liked the original design of the series (EMBER's original). I didn't love the book like I loved EMBER, but I have high hopes for the rest of the series. I hope you enjoy all of your new books, Vi!
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous week. :)
Check out my STS post!
Hi Alyssa, I have to admit that I don´t know the original covers from EMBER´s original. But I like that the book title kind of shines when I move the book :-) Looking forward to reading it. Thanks for stopping by.
